I love my Oupes 1800. It's just the right amount of power to keep my laptop, wifi, cellphone going, along with my granny's television. It can also run my lamp, microwave, freezer and full size coffee pot. I really love the light on the back. It can really light an area during a power outage. I purchased mine with two 100 watt solar panels. I intend to get two more and another AC charger to cut the charge time from 8 hours to maybe 3.5 - 4 hours. At the time of purchase, I thought some solar panel was better than none. I have my eyes set on getting the Oupes 2400 next.

I am very happy with the 1800w unit. It is heavy but not too much for me to handle and I'm a 74 yr old woman. It is very solid and works great. I do have 2 panels, 240 each and I used them for the first time yesterday. It took about 4 hours to reach full. It runs my large frig/freezer and I love that I won't have to worry about that in a power outage. I don't just let it sit in the closet, I use it almost every day in the kitchen to run my hot plates and pressure cooker. I got that hint from You-Tube, use it because it is free electricity. Very happy with this purchase and Oupes customer service was fantastic.

The power pack has worked like a dream. I wish the solar panels produced the output they are advertised to produce. So far it's not been an issue, but in an emergency, I do wonder if they'll come through for me like I will need them to.

Great emergency, camping power source
It works great. Tried it with my RV and was amazed at it capabilities. Everyone should have one for camping and emergency preparedness.

Potentially worth its weight during power outage, or for off-grid needs
We bought this product primarily for stand-by needs in case of longer-than-momentary power outages. Our initial testing gives us some confidence that it will be worthwhile in that role. It seems to hold a charge well, although our testing so far has been limited to a few weeks. It obviously has its limitations, for example in our test it powered one freezer for about 24 hours. It would clearly need frequent recharging, but on the other hand its weight is such that it is reasonable to carry it up and down stairs, or outside for solar recharging or wherever you need it. That is in contrast to longer-lasting competitors that are too heavy for many of us to move to different levels.
Not being an electrical engineer, I can’t speak to the purity of the power output, but I have confidence that it will protect sensitive equipment from surges, spikes, and other power issues.
The only downside that I can mention is that the well-designed case for storing the charging transformer and cables, etc, should be more compatible with the basic unit for easier storage. I can see that the two components could get separated while in storage, over time. I wish you could at least stack or attach the components so that they would always be together when the need arises. Otherwise, I think the generator is a comforting item to have around in case of emergency need. In addition, it’s handy to have around for off-grid use on various small projects requiring electric power.

AC, DC, usb power for bigger tasks.
I charge it in my backyard with the 100 watt solar panels (1 to 4). I use it to power my air fryer, make coffee, charge phones, play my party speaker, and use floodlight at park.

Best Solar Generator
Super easy to use and charges relatively fast in a yard that has limited direct sunlight. I have gotten the recharge rate up to 360 watts ( each solar panel is rated for 100W) so not bad. I have been plugging each appliance in my house (1 at a time) to determine wattage...for instance my 27 cut freezer came in at 127 watts which indicated 10 hours of run time (1534/127*0.85)... I ran the freezer 24 hours and the OUPES 1800 went from 94% to 41% charge. your freezer will vary depending on insulation and how often the compressor cycles. I'm having fun withit!

Best purchase of the year!
I was a little concerned that the unit might not have the power I needed. I own a vending machine business and I have a storage unit with no power for broken machines. I wasn't sure about the solar powered units but am thrilled with the OUPES. Ran it for 4 hours working on several machines and it barely used 4%-5% of the power. I would highly recommend this unit in particular based on portability, power, and fair price.

Perfect for apartment dwellers, no noise or exhaust fumes
I bought this primarily as emergency backup power during our frequent winter outages. As I live in an apartment, a gas powered generator isn’t an option. This unit will NOT power a whole house. For the few essentials I’d keep powered ( 19in LED tv, 2 5w Led lamps, small mini fridge and charges for cell phone and IPad) it provides more than enough power. For point of reference, my 19 tv only draws 27 watts . I did also purchase the solar panels as well.

Works Great
Everything arrived quickly and well packaged. We charged it up with house current the first time as instructed then began running anything we could find to plug in. It ran a small 1200 watt heater on high for 45 minutes and it took it down to 48%. Pretty decent for a small unit. We charged it on a semi cloudy day and it took about 8 hours so not too bad there either. All in all its going to meet our needs that range from camping to emergencies if needed.

It works great if sun is shining.
We needed a generator that we could charge with solar panels. ( Quietness and ability to charge it with solar power were requirements for camping purposes). These 4 panels came with our generator. Naturally, I was curious and used them to charge our generator. They worked wonderfully when the sun was bright.

Easy to use
Bought this for hurricane back up power. It will power my dc cooler and electric fan for more than 24 hours. The solar panels will recharge in a day with sun. Preserving cold food and having a fan for comfort during a Florida power outage is a big deal. I have the 1800 which has great power but is a bit large for camping, if you just want some additional power for camping you might want the 1200 instead. It is an easy to understand and use unit. I'm impressed with this product
It kept our refrigerator running for 24 hours before needing a new charge. We going to get 2, one to be on the charger, the other to keep the house running, in the case of power outage. It won't light up Las Vegas, but it will keep some of your appliances working during a blackout.
